Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2025 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2025.    

# 23 Patuxent Panthers   

“Patuxent has been a perennial powerhouse in the SMAC for many years now, as Coach Powell has continuously built teams that are prepared day in and day out to succeed. A conference that continues to reload, the SMAC will be competitive once again in 2025, and look for the upperclassmen led Panthers to make a run at a title once again this spring. The return of their two lefty specialists on the bump, with thump in the middle of the order, this team is still very balanced and should be exciting to watch all year long."
