Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2025 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2025.    

#5 DeMatha Catholic Stags   

"A perennial powerhouse across the WCAC, the Stags enter the 2025 spring with high hopes of taking home the conference crown this spring. Although DeMatha sees departures from numerous impact players from a year ago, they return top-end talent on both sides of the ball with another year of experience. The transfer in from sophomore standout Franklin Zerpa may be the key for the Stags to make a run, as he looks to bring even more thump to the middle of this order with the likes of Bud Coombs and Jayden Dennis."
