Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2025 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public and private schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2025.    

#9 Mount St. Joseph Gaels   

"Arms, arms, and more arms. Top-end talent on the bump will be the identity of this Gaels squad in 2025, as MSJ returns the likes of Colin Harrison (West Virginia), Andrew Kummer (USC Upstate), Collin Park (Columbia), Peyton Youngbar (Salisbury), and an extremely talented uncommitted lefty in Carson Kelm. As long as these arms get their respective and consistent innings, look for the Gaels to match up with anybody in the state on the pitching side. Offensively, the questions remain, however, the transfer in from Future Games alum Michael Goldsmith should bulk up the lineup, as Harrison, Park, Kellan Clark (Wilkes), Payton Johnson (Hobart), and Michael Bahouth add depth throughout."
