It is that time of the year once again, as our staff updates the Class of 2025 across Maryland and Delaware for the final time this year. This update is not an extensive one, as we do not expand the rankings, however, do bring the class into better focus after the fall season. Below, we take an in-depth look 4 highly talented uncommitted seniors still on the board.

Wells Twining RHP / Walt Whitman High, MD / 2025

The top uncommitted arm in the class lands at No. 22, as the big 6-foot-6 righty is poised for a huge spring of 2025. A recent UPenn decommit, Twining leverages the long frame well and the arm speed matches suit, running the fastball into the upper 80s with high spin (~2400 rpm) and relative ease. Working a true four-pitch mix, Twining showcases two high-spin breaking balls in the upper 70s/low 80s that play tight and vary shapes at the bottom of the zone, matched with a developing changeup that works well to right-handed hitters. A player to certainly dream on the projection in the body/arm with plenty left in the tank.

Brayden Tidwell C / 3B / Sussex Central (DE), MD / 2025

One of my favorites in the class, Tidwell comes in as the No. 1 uncommitted backstop across the two states, and for good reason. A strong, powerful hit tool that encompasses strong, fluid hands and whippy barrel action through the zone. It's a smooth operation at the dish, consistently spraying line drives to all fields with increased power as the frame fills. A versatile athlete with a lot to like on both sides of the ball.

Jacob Smith RHP / Cape Henlopen, DE / 2025

A player that really jumped onto the scene this spring at Cape Henlopen, the physical 6-foot-2, 225-pound righty continues to shine across the state and adds his name as one of the top arms left on the board in this class. A high 80s, low 90s fastball coupled with one of the better changeups in the class bodes well for a high-end bullpen arm at the next level.

Luke Crowl LHP / OF / Rising Sun, MD / 2025

A southpaw that certainly opened eyes this spring, Crowl is a true three-pitch mix guy with plenty to like with all three. The fastball explodes out into the upper 80s with the ability to ramp up into the 89 range at times, working feel to both sides of the plate. The slider is tight, working extremely well to left-handed hitters for whiffs in the zone, coupled with a late fading changeup that shows promise as feel increases. Athletic, versatile arm with intent.
