It is that time of the year once again, as our staff updates the Class of 2027 across Maryland and Delaware for the final time this year. This update sees an increase from 75 players to 100 players after the fall season. Below, we take an in-depth look at the Top 50 and highlight three players who are top players to watch as we head into the winter months.
Anderson Lambert OF / 3B / Mcdonogh, MD / 2027For the fifth consecutive update, the McDonogh two-way lands at No. 1 in the MD/DE Class of 2027. Explosive offensive tools, coupled with a high ceiling on the bump propelled Lambert as one of the top players, regardless of class in the state. Gap-to-gap strength with a consistent ability to manipulate the barrel at the dish, while maintaining a high contact rate and power upside makes for this to be one of the more exciting hit tools to watch. The fastball and actions on the fastball continue to tick up as well, landing the fastball in the upper 80s with feel for spin. As the frame fills and continues to add strength, it's safe to safe the sky is the limit for the athletic two-way.

Franklin Zerpa C / 3B / DEMATHA CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL, MD / 2027Rankings StateRank: 3 / POS: 1
The physical right-handed hitting backstop remains at No. 3 in this update following yet another standout fall across the Old Line State. Consistency in the barrel with explosive power sees Zerpa as one of the more dangerous bats in the class. Defensive versatility has also increased the stock, as the actions at the hot corner and behind the dish continue to make strides.

Noah McMurray RHP / OF / Huntingtown High School, MD / 2027Rankings StateRank: 12 / POS: 2
One of the highest risers in this update lands at No. 12, as the long 6-foot-2, 175-pound Huntingtown product stood out immensely this fall at the MD Fall Championship. It's a repeatable operation on the bump with long levers and some deception mixed in, working the fastball in the upper 80s with feel and confidence for the downer breaking ball. As command and feel for the zone increase, and the body continues to mature, look for this to be an arm to watch for out of Southern Maryland.
