For the first time, Prep Baseball Maryland releases the initial Class of 2028 Rankings across the Old Line State and Delaware. This class will start with the Top 25 players and continue adding numbers throughout the players' high school careers, ultimately capping at 225. The bulk of these rankings are based on what our staff has seen at events, showcases, and tournaments. Below, our staff highlights four players inside the Top 20 and identify the full Top 10.

Mason Glover C / sussex academy, DE / 2028

A player we have seen at length over the past year or so, the physical 6-foot, 175-pound two-way possesses a ton to like on both sides of the ball. The hit tool garnishes the attention, showcasing a consistent ability to spray line drives to all fields with plenty of power upside to the gaps, utilizing quick hands and an accurate barrel. On the bump, the fastball works in the low to mid-80s with plenty left in the tank, showcasing feel for the breaking ball that looks to develop and play well off the fastball. It's a strong, physical makeup that continues to shine each time we get a chance to see him.

Landon Rosenberg RHP / Tuscarora, MD / 2028

Certainly fired up about this two-way and the projection in the body and skillset stood out to our staff over the course of the 2024 calendar year. It's a long 6-foot-1, 165-pound build with plenty of room to fill and add strength. The arm impresses, running the fastball into the low 80s with the ability to manipulate locations in the zone. Confidence in the breaking ball has shown to be consistent with some depth at the bottom. The hit tool is what sparks, showcasing present strength to both gaps and one of the more accurate barrels in the class. Length through the zone with line drive tendencies should bode well for continued success, and look for this to be a player to watch for years to come in the class.

CJ Parrott C / RIVERDALE BAPTIST SCHOOL, MD / 2028

A player we have been high on throughout 2024, Parrott has stood out at each showcase/event that we have seen him in. A true power-hitting lefty with a knack for finding the barrel, the 6-foot-1, 195-pound backstop has shown flashes of an advanced hit tool, and the actions behind the plate speak on the versatility and athleticism as well.

JA Stephens OF / McDonogh, MD / 2028

One of the more under-that-radar athletes in this class, Stephens stood out to our staff at the Mid-Atlantic State Games in November, showing a true line-drive approach at the dish with the ability to manipulate the barrel through the zone. Maturity and strength still need to set in, however, look for this hit tool to spark for years to come across the Old Line State and this class.
