2021 Vermont Preseason Preview - Quick Hits

THE BATS

  • Sullivan Beers - Beers showed a quick bat and the ability to drive the ball to the middle of the field.
  • Ryan Canty - Canty is a strong right-handed hitter. The swing is balanced, with a direct path through contact.
  • Ben Alekson - Alekson has a fluid, quick stroke. The ball jumps off his bat.

THE ARMS

  • Olivar Pudvar - Pudvar is a talented left-hander. The fastball sits in the mid to low 80’s with tilt. He also showed tight breaking pitch.
  • Ben Alekson - Alekson has a fluid high ¾ arm swing that produces some late sink on a low 80’s fastball.
  • Sullivan Beers - Beers is a physical athlete with late sink on a low 80’s fastball and advanced secondary stuff.

THE DEFENDERS

  • Ryan Canty - Canty showed athletic actions and a strong arm around first base.
  • Olivar Pudvar - Pudvar showed a live arm and athletic actions in the outfield.
