The 2020 Future Games has a different look to it as we have decided to do our own Future Games based off of Covid-19 restrictions. PBR Michigan, PBR New England, PBR New Jersey, PBR New York, PBR Ohio, and PBR Pennsylvania are combining for the Northeast Future Games at Showers Field and Stern Field in DuBois Pennsylvania.

Pitchers

Ciaran Caughey RHP / SS / Orchard Lake Saint Marys, MI / 2022

Report: Projectable RHP with a 6 foot, 145 pound frame. Showed a two pitch mix on the mound running his fastball up to 86 MPH. Good command of a curveball at 68-71 MPH picking up multiple strikeouts with the pitch. Worked out of a tough bases loaded jam in the 1st and followed with a pair of scoreless innings.

David Lally RHP / SS / Grand Blanc, MI / 2022

Report: Athletic RHP cruised through three no-hit innings on the mound. Fastball was up to 88 MPH, sitting 84-86. Three pitch mix on the mound with a curveball 68-71 MPH and a changeup 74-75 MPH. Kept hitters off balance showing ability to drop down to a side arm slot.

Jacob Morrison RHP / 1B / Flushing, MI / 2022

Report: RHP with a physically imposing 6 foot 7 frame closed out the game throwing the final 3 innings. Four pitch mix on the mound sitting 85-87 MPH with his fastball. Curveball had 12/6 break with good depth at 68-70 MPH. Flashed a slider 76-77 MPH and a changeup 75-76 thrown with good arm speed. Struck out 4 allowing just two hits.

Hudson Davenport 3B / RHP / Richmond, MI / 2022

Report: Led the way offensively turning in quality at bats at the plate. Showed good discipline at the plate working the count. Drew a walk early on in the game before coming back with a RBI double on a 3-2 pitch in his final at bat of the game. Physical corner infield prospect with a middle of the order type bat.

Brady Birchmeier 1B / 3B / New lothrop, MI / 2022

Report: Switch hitting cleanup hitter followed up a standout night at the plate during Sunday’s workout with a strong game at the plate against Team Select. His power stood out during the workout with a 105 MPH exit velocity and multiple home runs, but can also hit for average at the plate. Showed off his versatility at the plate with a pair of hard hit singles.

Gregory Pace Jr OF / RHP / Detroit Edison Public School, MI / 2022

Report: Tools were on full display out of the leadoff spot. Drew a pair of walks in three plate appearances and then put his 6.37 speed to work. Stole 2nd each time he was on base, coming around to score both times.

Hudson Davenport 3B / RHP / Richmond, MI / 2022

Report: Came through in the clutch for Team Michigan. Trailing in the 8th inning, Davenport ripped a game tying RBI double into the LF corner on a 3-2 pitch. Impressive bat with a nice approach at the plate. Led the way offensively turning in quality at bats at the plate. Showed good discipline at the plate working the count. Drew a walk early on in the game before coming back with a RBI double on a 3-2 pitch in his final at bat of the game. Physical corner infield prospect with a middle of the order type bat.

Jake Coulter RHP / 1B / Brother Rice, MI / 2022

Report: Coulter got the start for Team Michigan against Ohio and was dominant on the mound in 3 no-hit innings. Fastball showed really good movement sitting 85-88 MPH with a spin rate up over 2300 rpm. Has a 3 pitch mix on the mound with a curveball 67-69 MPH and a changeup 74-75 MPH. High upside with a 6 foot 6, 180 pound frame. Definitely a guy to follow.

Drew Trevino RHP / 1B / Flushing, MI / 2022

Report: Followed Coulter on the mound with 3 strong innings of his own. Two pitch mix on the mound and had both pitches working. Fastball sat 84-87 MPH paired with a tight breaking curveball at 70-73 MPH. Has confidence in his breaking stuff picking up a strikeout to strand runners at the corners with back to back curveballs. Competitor on the mound. Another guy with big time projectability at 6 foot 6, 190 pounds.

Carson Byers LHP / 1B / Mattawan, MI / 2022

Report: Showed off a gamer mentality on the mound throwing a pair of high-stakes innings late in the game. 4 pitch mix on the mound with a lot of confidence in his offspeed pitches. Fastball sat 84-87 MPH with armside run paired with a deceptive changeup 76-77 MPH. Has both a curveball 69-72 MPH and a slider 76-77 MPH. Curveball was his out pitch showing 1-7 break with a spin rate up over 2400 rpm. Good composure on the mound picking up a bases loaded strikeout on a curveball to end his outing.

Brandon Mann RHP / OF / Country Day, MI / 2022

Report: Two way player shut the door on the mound working a 1-2-3 inning with a strikeout to close out the game. Pounds the zone on the mound with a two pitch mix. Fastball was up to 84 MPH with armside run paired with a curveball with 11-5 break 71-74 MPH.

Alfredo Velazquez OF / LHP / Brother Rice, MI / 2023

Report: Youngest player on Team Michigan had a big time performance against Ohio. Battles at the plate showing the ability extend at bats with two strikes. Crushed a RBI triple into the left center gap on a two strike pitch after a lengthy at bat. Added another RBI on a hard hit ball up the middle. Top of the order type hitter can fly on the bases. Scored from first base on a double late in the game.

Connor Luck SS / 2B / Fenton, MI / 2022

Report: Middle infield prospect with the ability to hit to all fields at the plate. Battled back from a 0-2 hole in his final at bat  hitting a 2 RBI double into the right center gap to add on some insurance runs late in the game. Smooth fielder helped turn a game ending double play in the field.

Brady Birchmeier 1B / 3B / New lothrop, MI / 2022

Report: Birchmeier continued his strong play with another multi hit game. Hard hit single up the middle in his first at bat then came back and flashed his power with a double off the wall in dead center. Can flat out hit at the plate. Also had a stolen base in the game.

Carson Byers LHP / 1B / Mattawan, MI / 2022

Report: Two-way player got it done on the mound and at the plate. Opened the scoring with a RBI single up the middle and followed that up with a double off the wall in right center in his next at bat. Primary pitcher had 3 strikeouts in his final inning on the mound and also showed good glovework defensively at first base on the day. Showed off a gamer mentality on the mound throwing a pair of high-stakes innings late in the game. 4 pitch mix on the mound with a lot of confidence in his offspeed pitches.
