2021 MHSAA Tournament: Division 2 State Semifinal - Orchard Lake St. Mary's vs New Boston Huron

EAST LANSING - The Eaglets of Orchard Lake St. Mary's did what they have done all year in advancing to the D2 State Title game after defeating New Boston Huron 5-1

HOT TAKES

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Junior standout Brock Porter went the distance on the mound, allowing just six hits and one run while striking out 12. Outstanding performance by the Clemson commit.

BOTTOM HALF COMES UP BIG: The 6/7 spots in the lineup for OLSM came up big today as Ryan MacKay and Jasen Oliver (2023 Michigan commit) went a combined 4-6, 3 doubles, 3 runs scored, and 3 RBI.

2023 STANDOUT PERFORMANCE: New Boston Huron's 2023 prospect Gavin Moczydlowsky had himself a day, going 3-3 with an RBI off of the states top arm Porter. Moczydlowsky is a true two-way prospect as well, having gotten up to 88 mph at a showcase earlier this winter.

TOUGH LUCK LOSS: Chase Molnar kept his team in the game through five innings, but in the 6th inning, the Eaglets got to the Siena Heights commit.
