Daily Roundup: April 8



Augusta Galesburg 0, Paw Paw 10
Junior Suwarsky helped lead Paw Paw in their season opener.  Suwarsky scored twice and struck out five in his two innings of work int the Paw Paw season opener. Bobby Yarbough, Justin McCauley, and Parker Marcon each collected two hits a piece to pace the ten hit attack. 

Utica Ford 1, Stoney Creek 10
Kyle Schweiger led the Stoney Creek Cougars on the day.  He collected three hits and three RBI.  One of his hits was a homerun. Eric Gilgenbach once again collected another RBI and two more hits.  Joe Cox also chipped in two hits one of which was a triple.

Warren De Lasalle 2, Sterling Heights Stevenson 8
In their 2013 opener Sterling Heights Stevenson beat Division I state runner-up Warrent De Lasalle.  Sophomore Greg McDade got the scoring started in the fourth inning when he doubled scoring Brandon Hughes.  Hughes, a Michigan commit, was on base three times for Stevenson helping them in their offensive attack.  Riley McCauley threw a great game only allowing one hit in his first four innings of work.  Zack McGuire and Dean Emanuele also picked up an RBI each on the day.

Milan 3, Carelton Airport 8
Unsigned Senior Richard Dubke kept the Milan Big Reds in check.  Dubke went six innings allowing seven hits, three runs, and three strikeouts picking up the win.

Lakeland 6, Orchard Lake St. Mary's 9
River Rysmsha had a huge day for Orchard Lake St. Mary's. The two-hole hitter went 2-3 with a homerun, double, and four RBI.  Junior Devin Rose continues his hot streak picking up a hit and scoring three runs. Overall St. Mary's is 7-3 on the year.
