Michigan Daily Roundup: April 30th Games






Walled Lake Western 7-2, Lakeland 0-5: In the first game, Brandon Mazell went 1-for-2 with a RBI and Jalen Cooper added two hits plus an RBI to pace the Warriors' offense. Andrew Gonzalez recorded a complete game shutout on the mound and struck out five for Western. In the second game Terry Haren went 2-for-2 and Nolan Johnson scored two runs to lead the Eagles. Ross Heiman had a complete game victory on the mound and helped Lakeland earn a split.

Rochester Adams 4-3, Oxford 2-4: In the first game, Cam Gugel went 2-for-4 and hit a walk-off home run and Weylin Frisbie went seven innings, gave up seven hits, two earned runs, with two walks and four strikeouts for Adams. In the second game, Derek Willis went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and Bo Lineberger went seven innings gave up seven hits one earned run with four strikeouts for Adams. Nate Olson had two hits and scored the game-winning run for Oxford in the second game, while Josh Arndt and Scott Stubenrauch each had two hits in the first game for Oxford.

Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood 15-10, Marine City Cardinal Mooney 0-0: At Bloomfield Hills, In the first game, Spencer Applebaum went 2-for-3 with four RBIs and Jared Scherrer went four innings , allowing two hits and striking out five. In the second game, Ethan Scherrer went five innings, allowing two hits and striking out four for Cranbrook.

Walled Lake Central 4-4, Waterford Mott 1-1: At Walled Lake, Colin Gottschalk and Mike Morelli both went 2-for-3 and Morelli added two RBI to lead the Vikings to victory in game one. Kyle Wilkie got the win as he went five innings and struck out eleven. In the second game, Kevin O’Malley went 2-for-3 with two RBI at the plate for Central.

Orchard Lake Saint Mary’s 3-9, UD Jesuit 2-6: Drew Boyd went 1-2 and two RBIs to lead the Eaglets offense. Greg Loukinen recorded the complete game victory on the mound and struck out ten for Saint Mary’s. Gordon Fisher went 2-3 and scored a run for the Cubs. In the second game Mason Vaughan went 3-4 and two runs scored and Julian Jones added the game-winning RBI single and helped St. Mary’s complete a sweep of the afternoon doubleheader. Andre Gard had two hits and two RBI for Jesuit.

Stoney Creek 5-12, Rochester 2-4: In the second game Eric Gilgenbach hit a home run for Stoney Creek.


Pinckney 15-5, Milford 11-8: In the first game Sam Lee and Zack Semanski both had four hits for Milford.

 

Birmingham Groves 5, Farmington Hills Harrison 4: Beau Harms went 2-for-3 and he hit a two run home run for Groves.

Walled Lake Northern 7-6, Waterford Kettering 4-2: Avery Dudek struck out ten for Kettering in the first game.

Novi 2-8, Livonia Stevenson 0-6: Bryan Klosterman went 2-3 in the second game.
