Michigan Top Ten Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles - #10 Jesse Heikkinen

Jesse Heikkinen#10 Jesse Heikkinen, LHP/OF, 2017 (Michigan State commit)
Background: Heikkinen is a 6-foot, 175-pound southpaw that committed to being a Spartan during his sophomore year and continues to improve. The left-handed pitcher is 83-87 mph with the fastball, showing an explosive delivery and quick arm action. Heikkinen also features a curveball with big break at 65-67 mph and a changeup at 75-77 mph that he has continuously showed extreme confidence in. The two-way prospect also shows a solid stick at the plate and the ability to roam the outfield wit his glove.

In 2016, the projectable southpaw sits 4th in the state and 137th overall within the PBR rankings. Heikkinen will look to use his momentum from 2015 as a springboard for his success in 2016.
