PBR Michigan started up on April 10th, 2012 as seen here. Brent Alwine then took the reigns in Michigan to start 2014, later handing off the reigns to Jake Sabol with assistance from Aaron Wilson.

Now that Michigan is fully entrenched as a top PBR state, we look to continue our climb while continuing to provide top notch baseball coverage in Michigan.

Aaron, PBR Michigan Assistant Director of Scouting, along with Dylan Hefflinger, Michigan Editor in Chief/Regional Scout take a look back at the year in review and put together a list of the top stories for the year 2015.

Today we take a look at the Nick Plummer.

Each day we will reveal the next story on the list. A hint for the next story are the word "Weatherly".

PBR Michigan's Top Stories for the Year 2015: Nick Plummer's Burst onto National Stage

Nick PlummerIn the summer of 2014, a strong framed power hitting left-handed hitter from Birmingham Brother Rice burst onto the scene.

At the Music City Classic and Area Code Games Nick Plummer put on an absolute hitting display that would draw cross checkers from each MLB club to Troy Michigan for high school baseball games.

Known for his ability as a hitter, Plummer finished the 2015 season with a .500 average with 22 doubles, while scoring 68 runs, stealing 32 bases and driving in 23. He ultimately was selected in the 1st round, 23rd overall by the Cardinals after being a starter for Brother Rice for four years. Plummer was committed to Kentucky, but signed with the Cardinals for $2,124,400.

After signing out of high school he was assigned to the Gulf Coast Cardinals in Rookie Ball, where the smooth-swinging prospect played in 51 games, lacing eight doubles, five triples, one home run while scoring 43 runs.

The sky is the limit for Plummer and everyone here at PBR wish him the best!
