PBR Michigan started up on April 10th, 2012 as seen here. Brent Alwine then took the reigns in Michigan to start 2014, later handing off the reigns to Jake Sabol, who handed it off to Andy Pascoe, who since has given the reigns to Aaron Wilson.
Now that Michigan is fully entrenched as a top PBR state, we look to continue our climb while continuing to provide top notch baseball coverage in Michigan.
Aaron, PBR Michigan Director of Scouting, along with Dylan Hefflinger, Michigan Editor in Chief/Regional Scout take a look back at the year in review and put together a list of the top stories for the year 2016.
Today we take a look at the two teammates climbing rankings.

PBR Michigan's Top Stories for the Year 2016: Teammates Climb Prospect Rankings and Team Rankings
A pair of 2018 teammates join the top 10 rankings and help lead their team to the #1 team ranking in Division 1. Spencer Schwellenbach and Brandon Smith were driving forces behind a great season at Saginaw Heritage.
Saginaw Heritage had an impressive 37-4 record this season, led by Head Coach Robert Andrezejewski, known by his players as Coach Andy.
What's caught the eye of many college scouts is the brilliant play of the two 2018 prospects Smith and Schwellenbach.
Schwellenbach (pictured right) exploded on the PBR scene winter throwing a mid-80s fastball and handling the bat quite well entering his freshman year at the age of 14. He went on to make to the Heritage varsity team batting 5th, leading the team in RBIs while hitting .354. His high school performance earned him 2nd team all-conference honors.
Smith, was a pleasant surprise when he walked into the Michigan Pitcher Analysis 1 in Midland, MI. Standing 6-foot-5, 195-pounds, Smith immediately grabbed everyone's eye. When he stepped on the mound displaying a solid 3-pitch mix featuring a downhill mid 80s fastball he was instantly invited to the PBR Preseason All-State event.
