PBR Spotlight Game: Tecumseh vs Detroit Country Day Game one

Tecumseh High outlasted Country Day in game one of a double-header, led by RHP Sam Benschoter (2016, Michigan State commit).

Benschoter racked up nine strikeouts while allowing just one hit in his four innings of work.

Tecumseh scored the game's first run in the 2nd inning as Jeff Arnett singled, stole second base and later scored on a safety squeeze executed by Evan Eldred.

Country Day knotted the score in the 6th as Steve Mann singled to right field to lead off the inning. On the next pitch Mann stole second, later scoring on a RBI single from Mike Maclean (junior).

Tecumseh exploded for five runs in the top of the 7th, proving to be enough for a 6 -1 victory.

Mann threw a one-hitter through four innings on the mound. He also added two triples and 4 RBIs on the day.

Country Day scored two runs off of Tecumseh miscues in the 1st inning.

Country Day continued to bring in the runs in the 2nd inning as Devin Beach (junior) and Nick Neibauer  (Sophomore) began the inning with two walks. Mann cleared the bases with a triple, later being brought in by Mike Maclean.

Tecumseh responded with a huge four run 5th inning, taking advantage of Country Day errors.
