Prep Baseball Report is proud to welcome Adam Goodwin as our new Michigan Scouting Director and Spencer Impellizzeri as the Director of Operations.

Goodwin Named New Michigan Scouting Director

Goodwin has most recently served as the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach for nationally recognized Kellogg Community College. During his time at Kellogg, Goodwin has seen 30 players move on to the next level. A few of those schools include; Butler University, Ohio University, Western Michigan University, and Central Michigan University.

Goodwin came to KCC from Western Michigan University where he served as the volunteer assistant coach during the 2019 season.

Prior to WMU, he coached at Saginaw Valley State University and as an assistant coach for the American Legion Baseball program Midland Berryhill Post 165. Coach Goodwin graduated from Midland High where he pitched for the Chemics.

“I am very excited for the opportunity to work with Prep Baseball Report as the Michigan Scouting Director. “I want to thank PBR for allowing me to join the team. I also want to thank Eric Laskovy for allowing me to serve on his staff for the last 3 years representing a national program that has excelled academically and on the diamond. I’m thrilled and eager to expand our high school, summer programs, four-year and Junior College connections in The Mitten State!”

Impellizzeri Takes Over As The Director Of Operations

Impellizzeri has worked within several capacities for PBR Michigan over the past 5 years.

During this time, he has been instrumental in PBR Michigan’s success, including the implementation of Trackman, Blast, and Swift at events. Additionally, he has been actively involved in our scouting coverage during the spring and summer months, scouting the high school season and state tourney along with tournaments all across the state.

A native of Traverse City, Impellizzeri is a graduate of Michigan State and served as the student manager for the baseball team from 2014-16. In his capacity, he assisted with many on and off the field duties.
