The Hotlist: Uncommitted 2016s

By Nathan Rode and PBR Staff

It’s common for juniors to be verbally committed by this time, but those that remain uncommitted have no need to panic and there is still plenty of talent available for schools. List alphabetically below are members of the 2016 class still on the market.

John Baker, RHP/1B, Hartland HS, MI
Baker, a 6-foot-3, 200-pound righty, has been up to 90 mph this spring and has a deep arsenal, featuring a curveball, changeup and cutter. He has a quick arm through a high-3/4 slot and gets good use out of his lower half. His changeup shows some sink at 73-75. His fastball gets good movement and his cutter is an out pitch, sitting in the low 80s. Baker made his first start for Hartland last week and went five innings, striking out 10 while allowing a hit, walk and hit batter.
