Michigan Insider: Top Ten Article Breakdown From The Year 2017

Dylan Hefflinger, PBR Michigan Editor in Chief/Scout, along with Aaron Wilson, PBR Michigan Director of Scouting take a look back at the year in review and put together a list of the top stories for 2017.

No. 1 - Michigan 2017 Event Results

In 2017, PBR Michigan held around 32 showcases throughout the state. During these showcases we get to see who has improved over the past year, who came out of nowhere and who are some diamonds in the rough. With each of our showcases, we have four articles related to them; The Results, Top Performers, Sneak Peek and Complete Evaluations. In 2017 this was the No. 1 most viewed page and will likely be at or near the top spot in 2018.

No. 2 - Class of 2017 Player Rankings (March)

In March, we updated the Class of 2017 rankings and expanded them to 280 prospects just before the start of the spring season. This was our final 2017 rankings as these prospects were getting ready for their final high school season. That said a large number of prospects have gone on to play at the college level and we are enjoying following their progress over the next few years.

No. 3 - Class of 2018 Player Rankings (March)

In March, we updated the Class of 2018 rankings and expanded them to 250 prospects just before the start of the spring season. With each individual class, we look to update and expand the rankings 3-5 times each year.

No. 4 - Class of 2019 Player Rankings (April)

In April, we updated the Class of 2019 rankings and expanded them to 145 prospects just before the start of the spring season. The 2019 class has seen some big time commitments and we look forward to seeing many more names come off the board to some prestigious universities.

In April, we introduced the initial Class of 2020 rankings with the top 30 prospects. The 2020 class already has commitments to ACC/Big 10 and we look forward to seeing many more names come off the board to some prestigious universities.

No. 6 - Spring Team Previews: Complete List

Leading up to the spring season, we always look to do previews for as many teams in the state as possible. We have been doing this since the inception of PBR Michigan and will always look to put an emphasis on highlighted high schools during the spring high school season. Look forward to us doing the same in 2018 over the next few months heading into the spring high school season.

No. 8 - 2017 Futures Game: Team Michigan

The Future Games is a one-of-a-kind event which features the best uncommitted underclass prospects from our 30-plus state coverage area. The Future Games will took place on August 2 - August 5 (Thursday-Saturday) at Grand Park, a state-of-the-art 22-field baseball complex located in Westfield, IN.

No. 9 - Uncommitted Prospect List Breakdown

Throughout the year we always look to highlight the top uncommitted prospects across the state in hopes of getting them the looks they deserve. Within this article we compile our uncommitted list for all to see.

The NCAA early signing period started November 8th, 2017 and ran through the 15th. With the fall signing period, we looked to break down each of the Division 1 universities in the state. We highlight where they are headed and what tools they will bring with them.
