5 Notable Outfielders from the Unsigned Senior Showcase

The Unsigned Senior Showcase featured plenty of good talent.  One of the better groups of talent we saw were the outfielders.  Here are some of the best performances turned in on the day:

Brad Vigna, OF, Jenison HS
Vigna has plenty of tools to go with his ability to play the game.  Vigna has good speed at 6.95 in the 60-yard dash and was also 85 mph in the outfield drills.  Vigna plays the game the right way agressive and hard.  It shows in his approach at the plate.  Vigna has an open stance that is balanced and explosive.  He is a gap to gap power guy and has the ability to use all fields.

Aaron Fadden, OF, Gull Lake HS
Fadden performed well all around at the Unsigned Senior.  Defensively Fadden attacks the baseball and possesses both a strong (84mph) and accurate arm.  He routinely put the ball on target in the throwing drills.  At the plate Fadden seems to be a good contact guy who will use the whole field.  HIs hands are high as well as his stance, which means he get a little long at times.  Overall Fadden, like Vigna, plays the game the right way.  We have seen him bring good energy to the base paths and the field.

Dee Jawad, OF/SS, Dearborn Heights Crestwood
Jawad is a good athlete standing 6-foot, 170 pounds.  He ran well at 6.95 but has been faster in the past.  In the outfield, Jawad topped out at 82 mph with his throws and was consistent.  He too was plays an aggressive brand of baseball.  At the plate, he certainly is more of a contact hitter that will use his speed to his advantage.  Jawad also is a good student and consistent honor roll performer.

Emerson Misch, OF, IMG Academy
Misch certainly looks the part.  The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Misch is physically very strong. Evidence of this was his exit velocity that registered at 87-89 mph. The offensive Misch has explosive bat speed and swagger at the plate.  He ran a showcase best at 6.76 in the 60.  Misch currently is enrolled at IMG Academy to continue to work on his skill set. The biggest area Misch needs to improve upon is his arm strength.

Cole Clifton, OF, De La Salle HS
Cole is a physical outfielder that projects to be a corner outfielder at the next level.  The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Clfton ran a 7.23 60 yard dash.  From the outfield we liked his arm strength as it had some carry to it and was consistent registergin at 81 mph.  At the plate is where Clifton seems to separate himself.  He has a short stroke and pop in his bat.  Clifton was a recent All-State selection and performs consistently at a high level.  Additionally he helped his high school team make a run to the State Finals.
