In Game One for Team IA-MN-NE at the 2019 PBR Future Games; the squad was victorious 10-5 over Team Illinois.


Team IA-MN-NE scored 10 runs on 10 hits while only committing one error. The offense produced 4 runs in the first, 2 in the 3rd, 2 in the fifth, and tallied 2 more in the 7th.


Leading the offensive charge for Team IA-MN-NE on Thursday was Logan Runde (Dubuque Hempstead, IA), Alex Ritzer (Stillwater, MN), Sam Petersen (Ballard, IA) and Luke Jessen (Elkhorn South, NE).


Runde was 2-2 with a single, double, and 5 RBI’s. Ritzer was 2-2 with 2 runs scored and an RBI. Petersen went 2-3 with 3 runs scored and a stolen base. Luke Jessen was 1-3 with a double, run scored, and made consistent hard barrel contact throughout the game.


Team IA-MN-NE used 7 different pitchers in the contest. In total; the staff allowed 5 runs, 3 earned, 9 hits, 8 strikeouts, and only issued 2 walks with 200+ college coaches in attendance.


Jackson Nove (Cedar Rapids Prairie, IA) faced 3 batters in his inning of work collecting 3 strikeouts. Tony Neubeck (Mahtomedi, MN) went 1 inning allowing zero runs on zero hits. ‘22 Alex Call (K-M-S, MN) pitched one inning allowing 1 hit, zero runs, and tallied 2 strikeouts.
