2025 Minnesota High School Team Previews, Volume XV

Prep Baseball Minnesota strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. Prep Baseball is the number one resource for high school baseball in each state that we cover through various events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work together, creating each state's most potent high school baseball promotion source. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

As we prepare for the upcoming 2025 high school season, we will be taking a preseason glimpse at programs from around the state.

ST. LOUIS PARK ORIOLES

"We're bringing back a small, but strong senior class to lead the way.  We have a large and talented junior class who will make an impact and provide some much needed competition for positions."

"We will be very inexperienced this year. However, we return our top pitcher Chase Gerdts and another great outfielder Caleb Quast. We have some seniors that will contribute as well. I think we will prove some people that we are alot better than people think."

HANCOCK OWLS

MONTEVIDEO THUNDER HAWKS

"Montevideo is gearing up to defend their Section 3AA Championship, while making a run at the West Central Conference title and will play a very tough regular season schedule.  Section 3AA is loaded with great teams so it is a challenge the Thunder Hawks are looking forward to.  Montevideo returns 4 of their top 5 pitchers, and 5 everyday position players."

HOWARD LAKE-WAVERLY-WINSTED LAKERS

"As we head into the 2025 season, our team is eager to build on past success and continue the growth of our young program. We’re coming off a year where we lost key leaders—players who had been varsity contributors since their freshman seasons. While their presence will be missed, we are confident in our strong pitching staff to set the tone for us this season. This year presents an exciting opportunity for both young players and veterans who haven’t had significant varsity experience to step up and take on bigger roles. Their development will be crucial to our success, and we look forward to seeing them rise to the challenge. It’s an exciting time for HLWW Baseball as we take the necessary steps forward. The hard work, commitment, and competitive spirit of our players will continue to shape the future of our program. We’re ready to embrace the journey ahead and make the most of the 2025 season!"

"We return much of our team from our State Championship team. Jakob Nachreiner was a great player, so finding a few guys to replace his innings will be really important. He was also our lead-off hitter, so we will be looking for someone that can get on base at the top of our line up. We need to stay humble and hungry! We have work to do and good teams to get through if we want to get back to the state tournament."

HILL-MURRAY PIONEERS
