2025 Minnesota High School Team Previews, Volume XVI

Prep Baseball Minnesota strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. Prep Baseball is the number one resource for high school baseball in each state that we cover through various events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work together, creating each state's most potent high school baseball promotion source. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

As we prepare for the upcoming 2025 high school season, we will be taking a preseason glimpse at programs from around the state.

MOUND WESTONKA WHITE HAWKS

Head Coach: Pat Regan (4 seasons, 48-47)

Coach's Comment:
"Mound Westonka heads into the 2025 season with a strong senior class and some talented underclassmen. Pitching and defense and hopefully an improved offense will help lead the White Hawks to a strong post season finish."

DELASALLE ISLANDERS

Head Coach: Matt Lynch (2 seasons, 22-24)

Coach's Comment:
"We are a younger team entering into our window to compete with the best teams in the state. We will rely on mostly juniors to carry the load on the mound while we return a few really good senior leaders who will help steer the ship. If we play to our potential, we think we can compete with just about anyone."

HAWLEY NUGGETS

Head Coach: Beau Lofgren (23 seasons, 192-184)

"We return a solid group of young men that have put in a lot of extra time in the off-season to improve. The keys to our success will hinge on our senior leadership, underclassmen stepping into bigger roles, being able to find ways to win in close games, and developing our depth with pitching."

BRECK MUSTANGS

Head Coach: Drew Joiner (3 seasons, 31-16)

Coach's Comment:
"For 2025 we are looking to build on the foundations of a great year in 2024. While we have graduated out some key positions, we have a very deep roster ready to step up this year. We graduated no starters on the mound, so the key to our success will be our ability to hit, and put the ball in play. It should be a fun competitive season!"

ADA-BORUP-WEST COUGARS

Head Coach: Mike Erickson (8 seasons, 101-41)

Class: 1A
Conference: Northwest Diamond/Pine to Prairie
2024 Record: 16-6

Coach's Comment:
"We expect to be competitive in Section 8A again this season. It's going to be a tall task for any team to knock off Sacred Heart and Red Lake County, but it is baseball & anything can happen! Austin, Ames, and Caspar bring many years of varsity experience to the table, and we will rely on their leadership throughout the season. We will have plenty of new roles to fill and some good ball players ready to earn a spot. Depth is a bit of a concern, as we have plenty of unproven players on our roster. We have a few guys who have been injured or dealing with nagging problems during basketball season. I'm hoping some guys can find a way to get healthy and the others can stay healthy. "

WINDOM EAGLES

Head Coach: Alex Fink (4 seasons, 48-23)

"Our team has high expectations coming into this season. We have a number of players coming back and some players that I am excited to see in their first season of varsity action. I think by the end of the year we have a chance to be playing really good baseball and hopefully can make a run in our section tournament."

"We have an experienced and deep pitching staff. We will need a few of these guys to step up and be shutdown guys. Fielding will have to improve to be successful. The loss of Luke Adams SS (due to injury) is putting some stress on the lineup and defensive positioning"
