PRESEASON ID NAMES TO KNOW

Ike Crouser C / Cretin Derham Hall, MN / 2027

The standout from the 2024 Super Sophomore Games elevated his game over the winter, particularly on the mound. His fastball sits in the mid-to-upper 80s, showing command of his secondary pitches while generating over 18 inches of fade on his changeup. Crouser is currently ranked No. 14 in Minnesota's 2027 class.

Isaac Iten SS / MAHTOMEDI SENIOR HIGH, MN / 2027

It had been a few years since we last saw Iten, and he made an impression. He started his day with a 6.84 60-yard dash, followed by a strong BP round. He showed smooth infield actions, fluid movements, and an 82 mph arm across the diamond. Iten is a 2027 prospect out of Mahtomedi High School.

Evan Nordby RHP / Champlin Park High School, MN / 2026

One of the top performances came from 2026 right-hander Evan Nordby out of Champlin Park High School. At 6-foot-2, 180 pounds, Nordby ran his fastball up to 88 mph, sitting 85-88 with life through the zone. He showed good spin and feel for his breaking ball, along with solid run on his changeup. A name to watch closely this spring and summer.

Alex Salvato RHP / Cretin-Derham Hall, MN / 2027

The No. 28-ranked player in Minnesota’s 2027 class made a big jump on the mound. His fastball sat 86-87 mph, featuring a long, whippy arm action with intent through release. Salvato is an intriguing follow, and it will be interesting to track his continued development.
