PBR: Why did you choose the University of Minnesota?
RAABE: I chose Minnesota because it has always been a dream of mine to play baseball for the University of Minnesota.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
RAABE: Because it was so early in the recruiting process, I never had a chance to check out any other schools and because the U of M has always been a dream of mine to play there, I had to jump on the opportunity.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
RAABE: I was very lucky to be able to play with Matt Wallner, who ended up being Mr. Baseball. It helped draw many recruiters to watch him play which also gave them a chance to watch me play, which helped draw interest from a few different schools including Minnesota.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
RAABE: I definitely feel relieved that I achieved my dream so now I can focus on developing my skills and focusing on baseball.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
RAABE: My dad played at the University of Minnesota and was also a professional baseball player. He has helped me the most in getting me where I am today with helping me develop my skills in baseball and showing me how to deal with the mental aspect of the game.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
RAABE: I was really looking forward to the recruiting process but I was very lucky to get it over with early. Since it was so early the recruiting process for me was very easy.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
RAABE: My most memorable baseball moment to date was beating Blizzard Blue in the scout stop tournament while playing for East Metro.
