Prep Baseball Report Minnesota

PBR Minnesota seeks to offer the most comprehensive coverage of prep baseball in the state of Minnesota. Our goal is to continue bringing recognition to those who play this game within the state and to showcase the deep talent pool that Minnesota is developing.

Brock is another recruit on NDSU's list of high profile MN kids. NDSU is a DI school that competes in the Summit League and has reached regional play in 2014 hosted by Oregon State. Congratulations to Brock and best of luck to you and the Cardinals in your senior season!

PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
I chose NDSU because the coaches are amazing, the facilities are great, and the school has exactly what I'm looking for academically.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
I was considering South Dakota State and Angelo State near the end.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them (Phone calls, on-campus visits, etc.)?
The coaching staff first saw me play in 2016 down at the Gopher Classic in Minneapolis. I spent most of the time talking to Tyler Oakes and Tod Brown and took a visit in early March.

PBR: What did you enjoy about the recruiting process? What were your least favorite aspects?
I enjoyed getting to know different coaches and seeing every campus and what each school was like. I did not have any least favorite aspects of the process.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
The one factor in my decision to commit to NDSU was that it is close to home and the coaches made me feel like a priority to them.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
Adam Barta and all the coaches associated with the Minnesota Blizzard have had positive impacts on me and I wouldn't be the player or person I am today without the Blizzard.

PBR: What plans do you have in store for you in your freshman season at your new school
My plan for freshman year is to work hard every day and hopefully be able to make an impact on the field early on.

PBR: What advice would you give to others that are currently or will soon be going through the recruiting process?
The one piece of advice I would give to others in the process is to just play the game and have fun. Don’t get worried about all the scouts in the stands.

PBR: What goals do you and your high school team have for the upcoming seasons? What is a strong point (pitching, defense, offense) that you feel will help your team achieve that goal?
The goals we have at Alexandria this year will be to go to state again and compete for the title.
