PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?

Culley: The coaching staff is top-tier and a bunch of genuinely good guys. Being close to home was also huge in my decision.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?

Culley: NDSU, Augustana, and Winona.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?

Culley: I first talked on the phone with the pitching coach, PJ, shortly after the Top Prospect Games. After that, we were consistently in contact.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?

Culley: Absolutely, yes. There isn’t a better feeling than going through your senior year without being nervous about the process anymore.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?

Culley: The feel of the campus was exactly what I wanted from a college. The athletic facilities and lounging areas were nice and modern.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?

Culley: My dad. He was the one driving me to all my visits and sending me videos and tips on how to improve my skills. He put a lot of his own time and money into making me a better player. Talking to him after all of my starts during the season was a huge part in my development.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?

Culley: It was more difficult than I expected but a very cool experience, overall. It was interesting talking to a wide variety of coaches.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?

Culley: If I put in the work and move forward the way they expect me to, they see me starting as a pitcher.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?

Culley: Playing in the Little League Intermediate World Series in Livermore, California and talking to teams from all over the world.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?

Culley: Seth Miller.
