PBR: Why did you choose Creighton University?
SWANSON: I chose Creighton because of the awesome coaching staff and incredible facilities. I feel like I have all the tools available there to reach my potential, so it was a great fit.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
SWANSON: I was considering the University of Minnesota, Oklahoma, Bradley, and Creighton for my final 4 schools.

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
SWANSON: Coach Furlong first saw me at the PBR Top Prospect Games, and then Coach Servais saw me for the first time at the Midwest Scouts Association Showcase at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
SWANSON: Yes, it feels great to have made a decision and have the support from the coaching staff.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
SWANSON: There wasn't one, but I am used to the weather because Nebraska's weather is similar to Minnesota and it’s pretty close to home as well. Also, TD Ameritrade is an incredible stadium.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
SWANSON: Hit Dawg Academy and all of the coaching staff, and well as Elite Sports Advising. A big thank you to everyone in this group of people that has got me to where I am today.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
SWANSON: I thought that is was a little difficult towards the beginning; and then after it got going- it got easier and easier.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
SWANSON: Coach Furlong said that he wants me to come in my freshman year and be an impact player right away. Whether as a starter, or coming out from the bullpen, I will be ready to take on any role right away.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
SWANSON: My most memorable moment is before high school baseball, when my team won Gopher State 3 years in a row.  I have 3 rings in my room, so that will always be cool to look back on that and to always have the rings.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
SWANSON: Anthony Molina
