----trevor divinski - trevordivinski.jpgName: Trevor Divinski
Position: RHP
Class: 2016
Height/Weight: 6-foot-3, 200-pounds
High School: Esko
PBR Rank: #34 in MN 2016 Class

Evaluation: 6-foot-3, 200-pound right-handed pitcher. Physical build with wide shoulders and strength in lower half.  Good direction in delivery. Front leg can get away from him occasionally. Clean arm action with extension out front. Fastball was 82-84 mph with ok life and flashes of heavy sink for strikes. 11/5 curveball thrown from consistent release point. Tight rotation and works bottom of zone well. Plus arm-speed and above avg. feel for changeup. Showed very good feel for 3 pitches in this session.

PBR: Why did you choose Minnesota State?
DIVINSKI: I chose Minnesota State because I'm very interested in Sports Management and they have a great program for that. Also, Coach Magers had me down twice to see campus which showed me a great interest from his end in wanting me to be a Maverick.

PBR: What other schools were you considering?
DIVINSKI: St. Cloud State

PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
DIVINSKI: They first saw me at the PBR Top Prospect Games. It was my first time throwing off of a mound to a live batter after my shoulder injury. After that I received a phone call from Coach Magers regarding baseball and the relationship has grown from there.

PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
DIVINSKI: I feel very relieved to have gotten this process over, it is a big decision to pick what you want to do in your future and to know what you're doing and be comfortable with what your decision is. The process is not a sprint but a marathon.

PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
DIVINSKI: The biggest factor that went into my choice was that the coaches expressed a lot of interest in me by having me to Minnesota State twice and they made sure they got to multiple games this past summer.

PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
DIVINSKI: My dad.

PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
DIVINSKI: The process is very difficult at first until you get used to what happens throughout it all. The overall deciding factor is to give scouts and coaches no reason to not want to come back. You have to make them intrigued with your game. You're the one playing. You have to show them you're worth it. You want them to want you.

PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
DIVINSKI: Coach Magers has told me he is hoping that I can step into the starting rotation or the bullpen right away and I'm ready to take that challenge head on.

PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
DIVINSKI: Playing on Target Field in the Metro Baseball League Finals.

PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
DIVINSKI: Anthony Molina.
