The Prep Baseball Report Future Games is the premier summer scouting event for sophomore and select freshmen prospects. This year well over 150 colleges from all over the country were in attendance. The Prep Baseball Report services are subscribed by more than 700 colleges and pro scouts.

Our series highlights the players who attended the PBR Future Games in Indiana. We have included the players scouting report, statistics, video of their performance, and their Recruiting Radar segment to see where each player is at in the recruiting process.

The 2016 event was the first opportunity for players in Iowa, Minnesota and Nebraska to attend the PBR Future Games and perform as a group. Many of the player's recruiting interest has exploded since the event; with many of them having multiple scholarship offers on the table.

Evaluation: 2016 Future Games- 6-foot, 190-pound right-handed hitting 2-way player. #182 ranked 2018 in PBR Overall. Physical build, present strength, with muscular lower half. Has made large improvements on mound over last year. Good balance point, collects over rubber, and drives baseball downhill. Front should tilt adds deception and hides ball from hitter. Showed good command of 87-89 mph fastball with decent life and flashed above avg. breaking ball with 11/5 shape at 75-77 mph. Springer ran a 7.69 60, was 90 mph from the outfield, and recorded an 81 mph exit velocity. Open stance, active load, dives into contact, pull approach, strong swing with flashes of power. Proto right fielder. Usable hands and feet. Tracks fly balls well. Strong arm with online throws and accurate to bag.
