OUTLOOK
The Greenville Bears will open as the #4 team in the MHSBCA ranking, led by sophomore RHP Trey McDaniel.  McDaniel, at 5-foot-11 175-pound, has a max fastball velocity of 82 mph, but features nasty swing-and-miss slider.  In 2014, he earned All-State Honorable Mention awards along with senior OF/RHP Devin Duncan.  Look for junior catcher Trynton Tompkins to become one of the top catchers in Class 2.  Tompkins has a gap-to-gap approach at the plate, with an exit velo of 89 mph.  Tompkins also has a top pop time of 2.05 behind the dish.  The Bears will rely mostly on their junior class as they chase the state championship.  1B/3B Ben Becker, OF Jake Doris, RHP/OF Blakeney Kearby and 2B Grant Miller are all juniors looking to bring Greenville the state title.  Coach Null's crew finished with a 17-9 record a season ago, and had an impressive fall.  They will ready for the task at hand in 2015.
