preseason glimpse at programs from around the state.

SEASON OUTLOOK
The Forsyth Panthers will return two pitchers and three position players from their 19-9 team from a season ago. Senior RHP/SS Tyler Groves earned All-District honors in 2016 and will look to lead the Panthers back to the district championship game.  Senior Casey Wallace and junior Caleb Terrell both earned All-Conference accolades and will round out the infield.  The Panthers will count on Groves and Terrell to lead the pitching rotation as well. The success for the Panthers this spring will largely depend on how the newcomers will adjust to varsity baseball.  Forsyth will be inexperienced in some key positions and the speed at which they mature will largely affect the season.  The Panthers have made an impact in the post season over the last several years and look for them to make another post season run in 2017.
