Season Outlook
After back-to-back district championships and 20 win seasons, the Indians will look for continued success in 2017. Senior SS Jarrett Newell, a Jefferson College recruit, will enter his fourth year as a starter and was named Honorable Mention All-State a season ago.  Jackson will also have Dallas Baptist commit, senior Colten Weber returning for his third year as a starter on the mound and behind the plate.  And, senior Braeden Dobbs, an Honorable Mention All-Conference selection in 2016 will begin his second year as a starter as a utility player.  Along with senior infielder Will Winingar should see an increased roll in the outfield, The Indians have a talented group of underclassmen that will keep the winning tradition going.  Look for junior Cole Welker and sophomore Landon Hahn to contribute in the outfield, while junior Justice Crosnoe will have an impact on the infield, and sophomore Tyler Martin is an arm to keep an eye on.  Coach Austin is 23 wins away from a school record and with eight seniors on the roster, look for the Indians to close in on that mark once May rolls around.
