Season Outlook
The Tigers look to build on their fourth place finish in Missouri's Class 5 from a season ago, and head coach, Jim Mellody needs just seven wins to reach 200 wins for his career.  In 2018, Lee's Summit will return four starting position players and two starting pitchers from their state qualifying team last year.  Senior 3B, Jason Kostelnick and senior RHP/INF Joe Vanderbos earned all conference honors as juniors and will return to lead the way for the Tigers.  Lee's Summit's roster will be littered with juniors and seniors.  Seniors Gabe Combs and Cody White will have an impact on the mound, while fellow senior Cameron Pudenz will see time on the infield and on the mound.  Juniors Quinton Carlberg, Tyler Perry and Grant Heizer will all see increase rolls this spring.  Senior Grant Baird will solidify the outfield and provide the Tigers with a strong lead off hitter if he returns healthy after being injured during football season.  This spring, the Tigers look get back to the Class 5 Final Four and build upon their 24-11 record in 2017.
