The Marquette Mustangs open at number nine in the Missouri State High School Coaches Association poll.  Last season, the Mustangs finished 20-6 after winning the conference and district championships.  This season, they return five position players and two pitchers with fifteen or more innings last year.  Seniors Sam Grace (Middlebury) and Carter DeFoe (St. Louis CC) both earned All-Conference honors last season and will look to lead the pitching staff.  Senior Niko Porcelli will add a power bat to the middle of the line up and junior Jake Hansen will add a premium defender to the middle infield.  Watch for Missouri Baptist commit, Hunter Brown to see important inning, while sophomore Ian Lohse and Caleb Houchin will give Marquette a pair of solid lefties on the mound.  Sophomore INF Hunter Miller, junior RHP Braden Mller and freshman INF Connor Throneberry will all be newcomers to the line up that will have impact this spring.  The Mustangs will be a team. that competes for a spot in Missouri's Final Four in Class 5.
