Class 5

CBC 3, #1 Francis Howell 1 (8 inn.)
CBC's Marcos Martinez's two-run single in the 8th inning proved to be the difference in a 3-1 win over Francis Howell.  Martinez scored on a Matt Vierling error in the 5th inning to give CBC a 1-0 lead, but Nic Perkins' RBI single in the bottom half of the inning tied the game up at 1-1.  The games stayed tied until the 8th when Martinez's two-out single won it for Timberland.  Matt Vierling recorded the win pitching 3 inning and striking out 5.  Tanner Kupla received the loss for Francis Howell.  Viking starter Justin Perkins worked 5 innings allowing one run on hit, with two strikeouts and a walk. 

Timberland 7, Fort Zumwalt West 3
Zach Smith went 2-for-3 in a losing effort as Timberland downs Fort Zumwalt West 7-3 in Troy Tournament Consolation.  Danny Biggs and Logan Andersen each collected hits for the Jaguars. Timberland scored 7 runs on 12 hits.  

Fort Zumwalt North 1, Hillsboro 0
Steve Kemp tosses a complete game shut-out and strikes out 12 as Fort Zumwalt North tops Hillsboro 1-0. Alec Willard knocked in North's only run with an RBI single in the fist inning.  Matt Vehlge went 2-for-4 on the day for the Panthers.

Nixa 10, Webb City 6
Nixa rode a nine-run second inning and coasted to a 10-6 win over Webb City. Pinch hitting in the sixth inning Tristan Moeller hit a two-run home run for Webb City making the score 10-5.But, Webb City could only push one more run across  Cade Crouch was 2-for-3 with an RBI and run scored, and Kyle Baldassarre was 3-for-4 with an RBI to lead Webb City.  Jacob Ruder led Nixa with single, a double and three RBI.

Jefferson City 7, Chestnut (PA) 6
Jeff City improved to 3-3 on the season, downing Chestunt (PA) in Fort Pierce, Florida on Thursday.  The Jays jumped out in front 3-0 in the first inning, highlighted by a Jackson Walker two-run double.  Chestnut battled back and scored four runs in the top of the 6th.  Jeff City answered in the bottom half when pinch hitter Travis Hennessy singled home two runs to regain the lead 6-4.  Chestnut tied it in the top of the 7th, but Jeff City stole the 7-6 victory adding the game winner in the bottom of the 7th.  Adam Gurden gets the win for the Jays.

Class 4

#4 Sikeston 7, Waukegan 6 (8 inn.)
Sikeston jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first inning, highlighted by a Colton Black RBI double.  After Waukegan cut the lead to 3-2 in the second frame, Adam Kennard hit a two-run double with one out in the bottom of the third inning to give Sikeston a 5-2 lead.  Waukegan took a 6-5 lead into the seventh inning after plating a pair of runs in the fifth and sixth inning.  Audie Hay's two-out single in the bottom of the seventh scored Doug Still to push the game to extra innings.  Kennard's RBI single in the eighth won it for Sikeston, who is now 3-1 on the season.  Sabastian Matos earned the win working 4.1 innings giving up four runs (two earned) on two hits with eight strikeouts and two walks.

St. Joseph Lafayette 9, Bishop LeBlonde 7
Seneca 9, Galena 7

Class 3

Spokane 9, #10 Clever 7
Clever moved to 2-2 on the season, give up five runs in the sixth inning and falling to Spokane 9-7.  Kyle Maples went 2-for-4 with an RBI and Chandler Maples recorded two RBI in the loss.  Chance Comer pitched 5.1 innings, allowing 9 runs on 10 hits.  He struck out seven and walked three.

#3 Cuba 12, Houston 5
Tanner Cantrell's third inning grand slam wasn't enough as Cuba beats Houston 12-5. Cuba scored 12 runs on 15 hits, eight runs coming off of Houston's Devin Coulter in 4.1 innings.  Cuba's C. Williams went 5-for-5 with two RBI to lead Cuba offensively.

#2 Sante Fe 11, Concordia 7
Sante Fe improves to 2-1 as Keaton Graf hits two doubles and knocks in three to lead the Chiefs.  Truman Sleeper went the distance for Santa Fe, allowing seven runs on 13 hits and striking out two.  Trent McGinniss was 3-for-3 with an RBI and Cass Heimsoth hit a two-run homer for Concordia.
