Future Games Preview: Jack Benninghoff, an OF from Rockhurst HS

Rockhurst HS consistently has top players from the KC area, but few have been as productive at such a young age as Jack Benninghoff. Benninghoff is a solidly built 6-foot, 180-pound outfielder who impressed us every time we saw him this season. He has the ability to hit for average and power, and shows good speed and base running knowledge.  In the outfield, Benninhoff covers a lot of ground in centerfield, and has strong accurate arm. 

Last season he received All State Honors and was a member of the 2009 and 2010 Midwest USA team at the NTIS in Cary, NC. He is also an honors student, posting a 3.87 GPA.
