Scouting Report: Barnes is a 6-foot-1 165-pound right-handed pitcher in the 2018 class.  Barnes is long-legged with projectable arm action.  He has a high three-quarters arm slot, with a fastball at 83-86 mph, some having late sinking action.  He was in the strike zone with the breaking ball, 63-68 mph, mostly 12-to-6 action.  Change-up at 75-76 mph.  He throws with regular effort and lands in an athletic position.  Barnes represented Team Missouri at the Jr. Sunbelt Tournament in Oklahoma in June.
