Future Games Preview: Nic Perkins, a C from Francis Howell HS

UA Future Games Big Slide

Nic Perkins is a physically imposing 6-foot-3, 215-pound catcher who is a two-year varsity player for Francis Howell HS. Perkins became the starting catcher last season as a sophomore, and made a name for himself with his pure strength and power at the plate, and should be one of the top power bats the next two years.

In is sophomore season, Perkins hit .379 with five homeruns and twenty-eight RBIs. Last fall at the Fall Prospect ID Showcase, Perkins put on one of the most impressive power displays at that plate that we have seen in a long time, blasting balls over the left center field seemingly at will. He was also clocked with pop times between 1.80 and 2.00.

A veteran of PBR events, Perkins will catch and play first base for the Missouri Midwest Futures Games team.
