March 24th Daily Game Roundup



On a slow Saturday, as the fields dry out from the rainy week, we bring you an abbreviated daily game round up from Saturday:
Ladue upset SLUH 7 to 6. Lex Kaplan (No. 5 ranked player in the Class of 2013) hit his first homerun of the season and two RBIs. Turner Miller (No. 29 ranked player in the Class of 2013) also drove in two runs for Ladue.

Pacific went 2-0 on the day in the Four Rives Classic Tournament, defeating Montgomery County 11-1 and Festus 4-3 for the tournament championship.  In the first game, Hank Vandaveer lead the offense going five for five with two doubles, three RBIs, and one run scored. Josh Moore picked up another win on the mound, going six strong innings, scattering five hits and striking out twelve batters.

In the second game, Josh Conley led the offense with a two RBI double. Zeth Boyer also went two for three with a double and RBI. Andrew Davis picked up the win on the mound, throwing six innings and surrendering two earned runs.

Branson got by Carl Junction 2-0. Starting pitcher Sam Perez picked up the win, going six innings, striking out eight batters and allowing two hits.

At the Benton-Little Rock Tournament in Arkansas, Kickapoo HS defeated Lakeside 8-0 and Vilonia 14-1. In the first game, the offense was led by Ryan Rippee and Caleb Hall homeruns.

Willard lost to Shiloh Christian 4-1 at the Benton-Little Rock Tournament.

Fordland defeated Ash Grove 4 to 2. Kyle Beemer picked up the win for Fordland.
