By: Diego Solares
Area Scout, Illinois & Missouri

Earlier this week, our staff updated the state's 2024 rankings after the summer circuit came to a conclusion. With all the information we've collected on players over the year, we expanded the board to 225 players, and shuffled some names at the top.

We continued to pump out content from our initial release as the week progressed, highlighting a handful of uncommitted position players to note, which you can find HERE.

We'll turn to the mound today and shine some light on the best uncommitted arms Missouri's 2024 group has to offer.

NAMES TO KNOW

Chase Olson LHP / Raymore-Peculiar, MO / 2024

The top uncommitted southpaw in the state's 2024 class. 5-foot-11, 160-pounds; quick arm. Clean, repeatable mechanics on the mound with polish and more to come. Has been up to 88 mph with his fastball, pitching in the mid-80s, and works the zone with a cutter/slider mix.

Kaden Durnin RHP / Camdenton High School, MO / 2024

From 7/29/22: "...has one of the higher ceilings on this Missouri squad, starting with a physical 6-foot-2, 185-pound frame capable of adding plenty of strength over the next few years. Durnin worked with relative ease throughout, topping at 88 mph with his fastball, sitting 85-87 mph. He confidently spun a low-70s breaking ball that peaked at 2,473 RPM, displaying aptitude to spin for his age. Still learning how to control his levers downhill, Durnin is certainly one to follow as we progress into the fall."

Timothy Teixeira RHP / Liberty, MO / 2024

From 8/1/22: "...displayed some of the most intriguing raw stuff from Team Missouri’s staff. At 6-foot-1, 206-pounds, Teixeira’s fastball sat at 84-86 mph, peaking at 87 mph from a low arm angle creating an uncomfortable look for hitters. His biggest asset, however, is his ability to regularly spin his slider at 2,700+ RPM, peaking at 2,940 RPM with 71-73 mph velocity behind it."

Casen Murphy LHP / Park Hills Central, MO / 2024

Athletic 5-foot-10, 170-pound two-way follow that impressed our Georgia staff during the NPI. Worked three pitches around the zone in a start for Canes Midwest, including an mid-to-high-80s fastball at 2,300-to-2,400 RPM. Spun a low-70s curveball for strikes and turned over a 73-75 mph changeup, too. Also a follow at the plate with an athletic left-handed stroke and loose hands to pair. One of the state's top uncommitted left-handed arms.

Carter Cox LHP / Fort Zumwalt South, MO / 2024

From 7/29/22: "...secured the shutout with two scoreless frames in relief. The 6-foot, 185-pounder pounded the zone with his low-80s fastball, reaching back for two 85 mph highs, and confidently spun two different breaking balls for strikes in any given count."

Nick Gibler RHP / Blue Springs , MO / 2024

Athletic 6-foot-1, 165-pound frame. Toed the mound for Team Select at the Future Games. Showcased a sinker with heavy downward action from a quick high 3/4 slot at 84-86 mph. Generated high spin on a 73-75 mph slider with late depth, too.

Tyler Holman RHP / Liberty , MO / 2024

From 8/14/22: "...provided not only an upside physical look at our June event, but an analytical one, too. Holman’s fastball sat at 83-86 mph, peaking at 87 mph, with 2,334 RPM and 20+ inches of vertical carry on average, respectively."

Isaac Boss RHP / Westminster Christian, MO / 2024

Strong, physical, and well-proportioned 6-foot-4, 195-pound athlete that's shown loud stuff in the past to our staff. Was up to 88 mph at the Midland Bandits Scout Day this winter, pitching in the mid-80s. Showed a low-70s curveball with some sweep and a mid-to-high-70s changeup on that day as well. Threw well in front of our staff this spring, too.

Dalton Hosack LHP / Holt, MO / 2024

Represented Team Missouri at the Future Games. Advanced feel to pitch for age, features a full four-pitch mix and will throw all of them for strikes. Pumps fastball in the low-80s, touching 85-86 mph, and spins a low-70s curveball at an advanced rate. Will also turn over a mid-70s changeup.

Tanner Warner RHP / Liberty , MO / 2024

From 7/11/22: "...sturdy 5-foot-11, 210-pound frame; strong shoulders and lower half. Took the mound for the Rangers’ 2024 club on Saturday night and showed some of the louder stuff we saw from the 2024 bracket. Pumped his fastball in the mid-to-high-80s, touching 88 mph a few times early on with life down in the zone. Spun a few low-70s curveballs with conviction that flashed swing-and-miss spin off an 11/5 plane. A follow uncommitted arm from the Kansas City area in the Missouri 2024 class."

Cooper Hudson RHP / William Chrisman, MO / 2024

Strong, physical 6-foot-3, 200-pound athlete with starter's size and strength. Took the mound for Team Missouri on the final day of the Future Games. Fastball bumped up to 88 mph, pitching at 84-87 mph with a 2,420 RPM peak; more left in the tank. Spun a 72-76 mph curveball from a high release point with near 12/6 shape and depth. A follow uncommitted arm with physical upside.

Lane Chapman LHP / Lawson, MO / 2024

Athletic 5-foot-11, 162-pound left-hander that impressed at Creekside earlier this summer, tossing four scoreless innings and punching out seven. High feel to pitch, pumps strikes with some deception from a quick high 3/4 slot. Fastball plays in the mid-80s and spins his curveball around the zone, too.

Charlie Kilcullin LHP / St. Dominic, MO / 2024

6-foot-2, 190-pound strong, sturdy southpaw that impressed at the GBA Scout Day earlier this summer. Polished mover downhill, arm travels on a continuous path to a loose high 3/4 release. Pitched at 85-86 mph in his 'pen at that event with feel for a fading changeup at 76-78 mph and 78-80 mph sweeping slider.

Alex Bryan RHP / Francis Howell, MO / 2024

Long, lanky 6-foot, 145-pound athlete with thin levers. Has been up to 86 mph in the past, pitched in the mid-80s at Creekside this summer in a complete game, no-hit effort with more velocity to come in the near future. Confident throwing both a curveball and changeup for strikes in all counts, too.

Brayden Schnurbusch RHP / Liberty, MO / 2024

Highly projectable 6-foot-4, 165-pounds with long, lanky levers. Developing feel for himself on the mound, but showed an upside four-pitch mix at the Midland Bands Scout Day this winter. Was up to 85 mph there, pitching in the low-80s, and sinks it to the arm-side. More velocity left to come, loose mover. Changeup plays best off fastball at 74-76 mph with similar action.

Evan Fulhorst RHP / Fort Zumwalt South, MO / 2024

6-foot, 170-pound athlete with proportional strength. Was up to 86 mph at the Midwest Futures Scout Day, sitting at 84-86 mph with more to come with mechanical development. Separator is a sharp 71-73 mph curveball with power downer action that's capable of missing bats.
