Five Missouri seniors have recently committed to colleges in the area.  Here is a look at where they are going.

+Connor Wardlaw (De Smet, 2014) is a 5-foot-7 160-pound OF/SS and has committed to Jefferson College. He batted .272 with six doubles and 17 RBI last season for De Smet.  Wardlaw is athletic on the infield with range to both his backhand and glove hand sides. Offensively, Wardlaw has very little wasted movement, with good rhythm and a short compact swing. He showed the ability to barrel up the ball and use all fields.

+Ryan Bernskoetter (Rock Bridge, 2014) is a 6-foot-3 190-pound LHP that has committed to Fort Scott Community College.  Bernskoetter led Rock Bridge to a 25-6 record and was named as a second-team pitcher in Missouri Class 5.  The big left-hander operates from a low ¾ arm slot with a fastball that sat at 77-79 mph. topping at 80 mph. Bernskoetter also showed a slow 57-58 mph curveball, a real change of pace pitch that for sure will have batters way out in front.  He also threw a 63-65 mph changeup with arms side movement.

+Joe Hope, (Parkway North, 2014) is a 6-foot-2 175-pound RHP.  Hope recorded 10 k's and 8 walks on the mound for the Vikings in 2013. He has a long, loose arm action with ability to command both sides of the plate. His fastball has some life to it, with arm side movement. Hope's change up is consistently thrown down in the zone. At the plate he batted .324, had an on-base percentage of .457 and tallied three doubles and a triple.  He will join Wardlow at Jefferson College

+Sam Goodwin, (Rockhurst, 2014) is a 6-foot-2 200-pound left-handed hitting 1B. Goodwin is a physical player with power from the left side.  He has good range and soft hands at first base.  Goodwin led Rockhurst deep into the Missouri Class 5 state playoffs, but suffered a late-inning loss to Blue Springs South.  Goodwin has committed to Cowley County in Arkansas City, Kansas.

+Ryan Toliver (Fort Osage, 2014) is a 6-foot 210-pound Catcher.  Toliver has a recorded pop-time of 1.87 and a 7.1 60.  He lead the Indians 13-5-2 record in 2013 before being eliminated with an 8-2 loss to Staley in the state playoffs. Toliver was named second-team all-state in Missouri Class 5 and will be playing for Neosho County in 2015.

+Johnny Joe Scavuzzo (Staley, 2014) 6-foot-2 230-pound 1B.  Led Staley to a 16-7 record and a Missouri Class 5 state semi-final 2013.  Scavuzzo will be attending Southwest Baptist next year.
