SCOUT BLOG (LISTED ALPHABETICALLY)

Jake Brettschneider, RHP, Francis Howell, 2026
6-foot-3, 170-pound long, lanky athlete that’s highly projectable. Currently one of the top prospects in Missouri’s freshman class, slotted at No. 13 overall. Entered in relief and secured two quick outs to lock down a win for Howell. Fastball sat 84-85 from a loose, low-effort operation that suggests there’s plenty more to come. Late break with slurvey-type spin on his curveball at 73-74 mph. A high-follow arm in the state’s 2026 class.

Tytus Cissell, SS, Francis Howell, 2024
Missouri commit, ranked No. 10 overall in the state’s junior class. Switch hitter that started at shortstop and hit leadoff. Pushed a two strike triple to the opposite field early on, squeaked one down the left field line for a double later on. Does it all - runs, defends, takes the extra-base, and is the type of player that every winning team needs. Slashing .420/.500/.590 with 22 stolen bases this spring.

Collin Dobson, SS/RHP, Blue Springs South, 2024
Uncommitted. Lean, athletic 6-foot, 170-pound athlete with upside. Impressed in this look defensively, showing advanced actions at shortstop and enough arm strength to stick on the left side long term. Also found the barrel for a single from a flat, loose right-handed swing. Pitched at 85-88 mph at one of our events this winter with a swing-and-miss changeup. A rising junior from the Kansas City area that’s still on the market.

Marco Dumsky, RHP, Rockhurst, 2024
Dartmouth signee, ranked No. 47 overall in Missouri senior class. Physical stature at 6-foot-4, 220-pounds. Toed the rubber for the Hawklets in this look, working the zone with all three of his pitches. Fastball played straight from a high arm slot at 85-87 mph, flipped in a gradual curveball in the mid-70s and straight changeup at 80-82 mph.
