Top Performances

+ Blake Charlton (CBC, 2016) pouched CBC's ticket to the Missouri Class 5 Final Four tossing a complete-game shut-out, allowing three hits and striking out four.  Charlton also got the Cadets on the board early with an RBI double in the first inning.  

+ Eureka rallied for two runs in the eighth inning to get past Jackson, 2-0, and earn a spot on the Class 5 Final Four.  Blake Clynes (Eureka, 2015) pitched eight scoreless innings, allowing just three hits with eight strikeouts and one walk.  Clynes also went 2-for-3 at the plate, but his bases loaded walk in the eighth gave  Eureka a 2-0 lead.  Brett Geigz (Eureka) broke the scoreless tie with an RBI single in the eighth.

+ Chase Urhahn (Cape Notre Dame, 2016) went 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored to help the Bulldogs upend Clayton 8-1 and earn a spot in the Class 4 Final Four.  Christian Job (Cape Notre Dame) added a 3-for-4 day at the plate, driving in five runs.  Adam Pope (Cape Notre Dame, 2015) earned the win working five innings, allowing no runs on four hits, striking out three with no walks.

+ Jake Bohlken (Smithville, 2106) threw a complete-game to earn the 3-1 win over Boonville.  Bohlken allowed just three hits with three strikeouts and no walks. He also went 1-for-2 with a walk and RBI.  Mitchell Orr (Smithville, 2106) played big in centerfield for Smithville, climbing the fence to rob a home run and showed off his arm throwing out a runner going into third base.  Smithville will advance to play Cape Notre Dame in the Class 4 semifinals. 

+ Matt Foster (Sullivan, 2015) goes 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored to lift Sullivan past Carl Junction 6-4.  Heath Schatz (Sullivan, 2015) drive in three runs, while Jake Lochner (Sullivan, 2015) and Blaine Bridges (Sullivan, 2015) each collected two hits.  Foster went 5.1 innings on the mound for Sullivan, striking out eight and walking three.
