Pitching Dominates a Limited Daily Game Roundup-March 27th

With limited action due to wet fields, a pair of pitching performances dominate games that were actually played.

Notre Dame 10          Fredericktown 0
Justin Landewee threw a no-hitter, striking out eight in Notre Dame's five inning win over Fredericktown. Notre Dame offense erupted for nine runs in the fifth inning, highlighted by Josh Jansen's three RBI triple. Janses went 2-for-3 on the day with three RBIs and one run scored.

Purdy 4         Monett 3 (8 innings)
While he did not take the loss, Monett's Aaron Patton continues to dominate opposing teams. Patton struck out 14 batters and allowed only one hit. In his three appearances this season, Patton has give up only two hits while striking out 38 batters.

West Plains 4         Joplin 3
Lane Schiff's single in the top of the 7th inning allowed Matt Wernsing to cross the plate with the winning run for West Plains, who scored three runs off of Joplin errors, including the winning run. Dusty Harrill picked up the win in relief, throwing five hitless innings.
