Player Spotlight: OF Richard Fullerton (Park Hill South, 2015)

Richard Fullerton (Park Hill South, 2015) is an athletic 6-foot-3 180-pound OF/3B.  At the Class of 2015 games on August 17, Fullerton posted an 85 MPH toss from the outfield. At the plate, Fullerton has an athletic setup with a long stride. Richard has fast bat speed and a level bat path. His swing produces gap-to-gap line drives. Fullerton’s exit velo was 89 MPH. In the game, he collected a couple hits and a pair of RBI. He was named 2nd Team All-Conference as a 3B in 2014 and carries a 3.1 GPA.  

Here is what is going with Fullerton.  

PBR: What schools have expressed interest in you?

Fullerton: I have interest in every level from D1 to NAIA but nothing too serious just yet.

PBR: Have you taken any visits, or have any visits scheduled in the near future? If so, what schools, and how recently?

Fullerton: I plan on taking a visit to Northwest Missouri State very soon.

PBR:  Are you looking for anything in particular in a school? (Example: high academics, certain academic program, local, etc.)

Fullerton: I want to win and have a nice place to play at.


PBR: How did you do your junior year? What were your high school statistics? And how did your team do?

Fullerton: I had a good junior year. I hit .329 and was second team all-conference. My team at Park Hill South went 19-12 and lost in the district championship game.


PBR: What are you goals for your senior season?

Fullerton: I want to win a conference and district championship and make a run at the final 4.


PBR: What travel team do you play for? Are you playing fall ball with a team?

Fullerton: I play for Prodigy Baseball Academy. I am also playing fall with them.

PBR: Do you play any other sports?

Fullerton: Football


PBR: What are your ACT and GPA?

Fullerton: I have a 3.08 GPA and a 23 ACT but I plan on taking my ACT again.
