While the weather didn’t cooperate, there were still many standout players and performances to get the Missouri baseball season started. LHP Aaron Patton from Monett HS had one of the most impressive and dominant starts to a season that we can remember, garnering March player of the month honors. 

In three starts, Patton has posted a 2-0 record and has mowed down opposing batters. In three starts, Patton has thrown a no-hitter and two one-hitters. He has thrown 21 innings and struck out 40 batters, while allowing only two earned runs, just dominant.

Monett, like many other teams are getting into the heart of their schedules, and Patton will be the piece of Monett’s puzzle that will carry the team. Monett's toughest game of the season comes today against Carthage HS, with their ace Patton on the mound.
