PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it as expected? Easy/Difficult?

Reid: My expectations for the recruiting process were that it wasn´t going to be a walk in the park, which it wasn´t. At the same time it wasn't so difficult that I didn't want to do it. I had the ability to talk to coaches and adults, which in my mind, is a key factor in the process.

PBR: Did location or distance from home play a factor in your decision?
Reid: Location or distance didn´t have have much sway in my decision. I knew from the start that if I wanted to fulfill a dream then I would have to make some sacrifices, and that would be one of them.

PBR:Where did Arkansas State first see you? How did your relationship develop with them?
Reid: Arkansas State first saw me play at Saint Louis University. They contact me after one of night games and it took off from there. We had conversations pretty regularly.

PBR: Who is the best player you have faced in your state, and why?

Reid: The best player I have ever faced in my state was Jack Duffy who now plays at Missouri State. My sophomore year my school went to Staley High School to play the Falcons, and the first pitch of the game he hit it off the wall dead center field.

PBR: What advice would you give to young baseball players striving to get where you are?

Reid: Advice I would give to young baseball players is to be coachable, work extremely hard, and stay out of trouble. In the offseason I played basketball but I was in the cage and playing catch constantly.

PBR: What is the most memorable moment in your baseball career to this point?

Reid: The most memorable moment in my baseball career at this point would be playing up the middle with my brother my freshman year and winning over Boonville to advance to the state semi finals.

PBR: What do you like most Arkansas State and what were the key factors in making your decision?

Reid: What I liked most about Arkansas State was how how tight knit the guys were. From what I saw, they all got along pretty well.

PBR: What other schools were on your short list before you made your final decision?

Reid: The teams on my short list before I made my decision were Dallas Baptist University, Cowley County Community College, and William Jewell College.

PBR: When did the recruiting process really start to heat up for you? Was there a particular game or event that you feel turned the corner for you?

Reid: I would say the recruiting process started to heat up in the 2017 summer season when I was attending showcases and PBR events.

PBR: Preview your high school season for us. How do you feel your team will be? What are your expectations and goals?

Reid: I have a feeling this season, we will have a tough road ahead of us. We are a hardworking group that has the heart to take us far into the postseason. Our goals have been the same for awhile now. Win a conference championship, win a district championship, and then hopefully a state championship.

PBR: Where do you play in the summer? And what has been your most memorable experience with them?

Reid: I play for Prodigy Baseball Academy out of Parkville, Missouri. My most memorable experience with them would have tp be winning the 15U TCU national championship on TCU´s field.
