On Sunday, October 11, Prep Baseball Report-Missouri held the Southeast Missouri Open ID.  Over thirty players participated in the 2019 2016 class.

Players profiles have been updated with times, velocities and videos.  In the days to come we will break down all the positions, today we take a look at the outfielders.  Outfielders are listed in alphabetical order.

Outfielders

Braden Cox, Scott City, 2017
Cox is a 6-foot-2 200-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2017 class.   He ran a 7.19 60 and had an 80 mph exit velo. A physical hitter with power to pull gap, Cox has no wasted move in his pre-swing.  He has a short stride, loose hands and level path, producing line drives during batting practice.  He ran a 4.51 home-to-first. In the outfield, Cox has a positional velo of 80 mph with somewhat accurate throws.  He gets to the ball with a purpose and plays through the catch, loose over the top arm slot, clean exchange, quick release, throws downhill.

David Deken, Twin Rivers, 2017
Deken is a 5-foot-11 175-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2017 class.  He ran a 7.09 60 and had an exit velo of 73 mph.  Deken starts in a balanced position with minimal rhythm, loads in back leg and has short path to contact.  He has quick hands and used the middle-to-pull side of the field during batting practice.  He rana  4.32 home-to-first. In the outfield, Deken had a positional velo of 75 mph, mostly accurate throws, over-the-top release, momentum towards target, fluid footwork, clean exchange, aggressive to ball. 

Conor Dryer, Rockwood Summit, 2017
Dryer is a 6-foot-3 167-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in the 2017 class.  He ran a 7.19 60 and had an exit velo of 74 mph.  Dryer has a slight pre-swing rhythm in hands, balanced set-up, in line stride, level and accelerated swing path to extension, used mostly the middle of the field, but showed pull power potential. Dryer ran a 4.47 home-to-first. In the outfield, 87 mph positional velo, accurate throws, loose arm action, arm works, works behind ball and through catch, throws have carry through target. 

Colton Groshong, Silex, 2017
Groshong is a 5-foot-9 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2017 class.  He ran a 7.22 60 and had a 70 mph exit velo.  Starts in balanced position at the plate, loads with hands and to tap, line drive approach to the middle of the field. He ran a 4.42 home-to-first.  In the outfield, has a positional velo of 82 mph, somewhat accurate throws, aggressive to the ball and through the catch, clean over-the-top arm action, quick catch and release. 

Austin Hicks, Bell City, 2017
Hicks is a 6-foot 155-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2017 class.  Hicks ran a 7.50 60 and a 77 mph exit velo.  Slightly open stance at the plate, minimal load, short stride, aggressive swing, level to extension, consistent middle of the field contact, line drives, got down the line in 4.44-seconds. In the outfield, had a 79 mph positional velo, quick to the ball, plays through catch, clean exchange, quick footwork, accurate throws, loose high three-quarters arm action. 

Jed Jones, Saxony Lutheran, 2019
Jones is a 5-foot-9 145-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2019 class.  Jones ran a 7.34 60 and had a 63 mph exit velo, ran a 4.71 home-to-first.  Athletic set-up at the plate, minimal load, early and short stride, line-drive approach, gap-to-gap. In the outfield, 64 mph positional velo, somewhat accurate throws, over-the-top release, clean exchange. 

Tyler Knight, Jackson, 2017
Knight is a 6-foot-1 165-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2017 class.  Knight ran a 6.79 60 and had an exit velo of 75 mph.  Knight made consistent solid contact gap-to-gap during batting practice, ran a 4.31 home-to-first.  He has a short stride and quick hands with a balanced finish, starting tall/balanced stance.  In the outfield, 74 mph positional velo, accurate throws, quick twitch actions, clean exchange, loose high three-quarters release.

Joshua Miller, Francis Howell Central, 2016
Miller is a 5-foot-7 130-pound left-handed hitting outfielder in the 2016 class.  He ran a 7.18 60 and had an exit velo of 79 mph.  Miller starts in athletic stance at the plate, controlled leg kick, has a gap-to-gap approach, level path, balanced throughout swing, ran a 4.53 home-to-first.  In the outfield, 75 mph positional velo, throws right, mostly accurate throws, aggressive to the ball, momentum towards target, quick catch and release, clean over-the-top arm slot. 

Cole Nichols, Bell City, 2017
Nichols is a 6-foot 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2017 class.  He ran a 7.16 60 and had an exit velo of 79 mph.  Athletic set-up at the plate, attacks ball with leg kick, aggressive swing, loose hands, level path to extension, gap-to-gap approach.  Runs a 4.69 home-to-first.  In the outfield, 77 mph positional velo, mostly accurate throws, high three-quarters arm slot, quick feet, clean exchange, soft hands. 

Devin Shaw, MICDS, 2018
Shaw is a 6-foot 150-pound right-handed hitting outfielder in the 2018 class.  Shaw ran a 7.47 60 and had an exit velo of 67 mph.  Shaw hit consistent line drives to the pull side, slightly close stance, level path through hitting zone, fluid rhythm, ran a 4.84 home-to-first.  In the outfield, posted a 66 mph positional velo, three-quarter arm slot, clean exchange, fluid footwork.
