Super 60 Player Preview: SS Brad Jelinek (Warsaw HS)

Super 60 Slide 2013

Brad Jelinek, SS, Warsaw HS

Jelinek is the darkhorse in the Class of 2013 players who have draft potential. He follows Johnny Eierman (2010 Missouri player of the year and third round pick of the Tamps Bay Rays) as the next great player to come out of Warsaw HS, a small school that produces top-level talent.

Jelinek has a lanky 6-foot-2, 175-pound frame with a strong arm, sound hitting fundamentals, and speed on the base path. His top 60 time is a 6.78, which we expect to see him top at the Super 60.

Jelinek put up some big numbers last season as a juinor, hitting .562 with 10 doubles, 3 triples, and 18 RBIs. He struck out only 3 times in 73 at-bats and was a perfect 22 for 22 in stolen base attempts.

There has been some chatter about him over the past few months, and we expect a huge year and turn that chatter into conversation.
