Team Missouri and Team Pennsylvania End in a 3-3 Tie



In game two for Team Missouri in the Midwest Future Games, balls were once again pounded, but this time right at Team Pennsylvania fielders, with the game ending in a 3-3 tie.

Missouri got the scoring started with RHP/3B Brad Archer (Lebanon HS) lofting a single to right field, driving in Trey Turner from second base. 

In the fifth inning, Team Pennsylvania plated three unearned runs to take a 3-1 lead.

Not to be outdone, the hottest hitter of the Future Games, Colby Fitch, blasted his third home run of the weekend to deep right center cutting the lead to 3-2. Through two games, Fitch is four for five with three homeruns.

Missouri staged a two out rally in the top of the seventh, when Cory Canterbury singled, scoring Trey Turner from second and knotting the game at 3-3, which would be the final score. Turner had two hits and scored, while Stu Mills also collected two hits in the game. 

Starting pitcher Alex Lange (Lee’s Summit West) went four shutout inning and showing a 86-88 mph fastball, topping at 89. Lange also showed plus a 77-79 mph slider that was unhittable.  Brady Feigl (Parkway Central) threw three innings, sitting 84-84 mph with a change up 72-73 mph, a legit out pitch.
